IIF Inaugural Africa Financial Summit

November 11-13, 2012, Cape Town, South Africa

The IIF Inaugural Africa Financial Summit will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, on November 11-13, 2012 hosted by Jacko Maree, Group Chief Executive of Standard Bank.

The meeting is the IIF’s first high level gathering of financial leaders with a special focus on Africa, and is expected to attract a large number of CEOs and senior executives of the leading financial institutions in Africa, as well as high-level policymakers and representatives of global firms active in the region.

The meeting will begin with an informal dinner on Sunday, November 11 and proceed with business sessions on Monday and Tuesday, concluding with a lunch on Tuesday, November 13. Headline keynote speakers from the official and private sectors will address the Summit at the opening on Monday and at the formal dinner on the evening of the same day. A Keynote speaker will also address the gathering at lunch.

Most of the day on Monday and Tuesday morning will be taken up by Roundtable discussions motivated by lead speakers from among the senior executives of global and African firms. Among the topics to be addressed will be the implications of global developments to emerging Africa, investment opportunities and risks in the African economies, capital flows, and challenges facing African policy and business leaders.
