IIF Mission Statement on Workplace Values

As a global organization, we understand that having varied perspectives helps generate better ideas to solve the complex problems of our changing world.  We also believe that having varied perspectives in the workplace alongside fostering a respectful and welcoming environment makes us better able to serve our members and the broader global financial community.

All employees of the Institute have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect and are expected to exhibit, and will be held accountable for, conduct that reflects our core values, including respect, integrity and excellence as well as supporting equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination for all. To reinforce these core values, IIF will continue to review our policies and practices to ensure that our commitment to these values remains at the forefront of IIF’s culture. About the IIF Staff Advisory Committee (SAC)

The IIF's Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) plays a crucial role in fostering a welcoming workplace committed to respect, integrity and excellence, where all employees have the support they need to succeed. Here's a breakdown of its functions and responsibilities:

  1. Representation: Each member of SAC is a representative of a different department. It includes employees of all levels, specialties and backgrounds. 
  2. Insight and feedback: SAC members serve as the committee's point of contact for their respective departments. Their role is to provide valuable insights, feedback, and concerns regarding the well-being of their department. This input helps the Admin team and SAC in making informed recommendations and planning events.
  3. Employee Engagement: The SAC team considers how to incorporate IIF’s core values of a respectful and welcoming workplace into all aspects of IIF's activities, including staff events and other internal programs, and makes recommendations to management.
  4. Annual Employee Survey: Every year, IIF conducts a survey of all employees. The SAC team looks over the survey data to find any trends, changes, or areas that differ from year to year that could raise concerns. Drawing from this data, the team develops recommendations for enhancing IIF’s commitment to a respectful and welcoming work environment and equal employment opportunities for all.

Overall, SAC is an essential tool for advancing IIF’s core values of respect, integrity and excellence and a welcoming corporate culture.
