Comments on Core Principles Consultation on Financial Inclusion Guidance

The IIF submitted comments in March 31 to the Basel Committee on their consultation on the application of the core principles for effective banking supervision to the regulation and supervision of institutions relevant to financial inclusion. The IIF comments focused the practical application of proportionality in the guidance, jurisdictional differences in prudential oversight, the need to ensure dynamic changes in financial inclusion services are recognized, and the need to enhance coordination on developing areas of regulatory reform.'
