This briefing note summarizes the July 2024, IIF Digital Asset Forum, respecting that the forum is conducted under the Chatham House Rule and does not represent the official position of the IIF or its membership. This session explored interoperability concerns and the ways different platform strategies may enable settlement and prevent trapped value. A growing number of experiments look to preserve the two-tier monetary system, while seeking to discover the optimal transaction and settlement speeds to balance efficiency and management. The IIF convenes the Digital Asset Forum with our knowledge partner, the Oliver Wyman Forum.
